Election 2016

Well here we go again. We have the presidential election coming up in November and the furure of our country depends on the citizens selecting the right person to bcome president od the United States. As it stands now, the 2 main candidates will be Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

I keep hearing people saying that they don’t like Trump, or they don’t like Clinton or even “I don’t like either one of them so I’m not going to even vote.” Everyone has the right to their opinion, and that is okay. But; to say that they are not going to vote is a travesty. If you don’t like either one, then it behooves you to study the candidates and decide which one would be the best for our country. If you can’t decide taht, the decide which one would do the least damage to the country.

The point is, that if you don’t vote, you really don’t have a right to complain about the winner. The country is depending on your vote.

If you are as fed up with Washington as I am, you are ready for a change. More of the same is going to led to the demise of the USA as we know it. As an Independant and a veteran, I am not beholden to any political party or candidate so I will ignore the press and do my diligence and choose my cnadidate and vote for him/her.

We now have about 7 months to make our decisions, so study the candidates, their positions and character and make your decision. Once you have done that go VOTE.

I am disgusted with the leadership in DC!!

I am totally disgusted with the whole mess in our nation’s capitol. We have a narcissist for a president, a cabinet of appointees who are nothing more than ” Yes” persons. And a Congress which is totally do nothing. The only thing they want to accomplish is to get re-elected. There is almost no consideration for what their constituents desire, only the Party and it makes no difference whether it is Democrat or Republican. The goal now, outside of re-election, is to turn this country into a socialist state. History shows that socialism has always been a failure. Vote buying is rampant and evident with the giveaways.

We have an election in November 2014 and that is the time for major changes. All of the House has to stand for election and about 1/3 of the Senate. Let’s throw the bums out. If your congressional representative has not done what you desire, vote against them and to hell with the “Party” Dumbocrat or Rino. Maybe a third party is in order!!

I’ve had it

I have had it with the NBA and its players. I have had enough of the selfish bilionares batteling selfish milionaires with no regards for the people who foot the bill, the fans. I think that the time has come to boycott the NBA and everything associated with it. If we don’t let them know where the money comes from, you can bet that afterr and if they ever reach an agreement ticket and concession prices will sky rocket. Personally I have had enough!! Guess who gets the shaft, you’ve got it, the fans!

Congress has delayed too long

The current B.S. going on in congress is a fine example of how low our political system has sunk. This crap about cutting/holding military pay is totally stupid. If anyone’s pay and benefits are going to be cut, it should be all the politicians in Washington and that includes the clown we have as president. The flagrant attempt to buy votes at the expense of those who are serving to protect our country is outrageous.

I think that it is high time to get rid of 535 nuts we have in Washington before this country goes down the tube. 2012 can’t get here soon enough. I’ve had it.

Cold in Afganistan

I have a friend who is an army chaplain and he tells me how cold it is during the winter, especially in the mountain passes. Temps at Zero and below. His unit runs supply convoys at night and it is really, really cold. My chaplain friend tells me that the army does not furnish the troops hand warmers for the night convoys. I find it disgusting that our military feels that it is too expensive to furnish hand warmers, especially those who have to man the machine guns on top of the trucks. My church is supplying some of them, but we cannot afford to supply the needed amounts. If anyone out there would like to help I will gladly furnish the necessary information.

What if there isn’t anymore?

What if there isn’t anymore?

One day a woman’s husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn’t “anymore”. No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more “just one minute.” Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, say”I love you.”

So while we have it, it’s best we love it, care for it, fix it when it’s broken and heal it when it’s sick. This is true for marriage…..And old cars… And children with bad report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

Some things we keep — like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.

Life is important, like people we know who are special.. And so, we keep them close!

I received this from someone who thought I was a ‘keeper’! Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way… Now it’s your turn to send this to all those people who are “keepers” in your life, including the person who sent it, if you feel that way. Suppose one morning you never wake up, do all your friends know you love them?

I was thinking…I could die today, tomorrow or next week, and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that needed rekindling or three words needing to be said.

Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think they don’t love you back, you would be amazed at what those three little words and a smile J can do. And just in case I’m gone tomorrow.

I LOVE YA!!!

Live today because tomorrow is not promised.

Happy New Year

I’m wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year. We have just come through the harshest and most unpleasant year that I can remember in my 74 years on this earth and I pray that 2011 will be much better. We need to get on our knees and pray for changes that will be good for the country and not necessarily good for the politicians. The country needs to come back to God, put prayer back in schools and put the ACLU out of business. We need to hold the new congress to their promises and see that they don’t forget them.

Everyone needs to get in the habit of voting by voting in every local and state election. That way voting in the 2012 national elections will be easy. Your vote does count, just ask the people of Alaska.

A good start is to locate a church that meets your beliefs and requirements and start attending on a regular basis. Get involved in Bible studies and charity work, Above all, begin a regular prayer plan and pray daily. God does answer prayer, but you do have to pray. Our country was started, based on Judeo/Christian principles and we have gotten away from them. We need to return to those principles.
